Demetrius Carter works across acrylic, graphite, oil, airbrush, multimedia, design, and moving image — creating work that can live on a wall, inside a story, across a screen, or within a shared experience.

The programs presented here are curated or produced by Art of Carter and represent Demetrius Carter's programming at Invigorate Gallery. They are not intended to represent the complete calendar or policies of Invigorate Gallery.
Events may incorporate conversation, poetry, storytelling, demonstrations, environmental education, interviews, film, and social experiences.
But art, creativity, storytelling, or meaningful conversation must remain central to every program.

Hough Voices is a recorded series of intimate conversations with artists, residents, entrepreneurs, educators, historians, and creatives connected to Hough.
The purpose is not simply to produce a podcast. Hough Voices is an effort to build a visual and oral archive — a record of people, memories, creative work, neighborhood history, and perspectives.
Hough Voices is an Art of Carter original series. It does not speak on behalf of the Hough community or any individual or institution.
Conversations with visual artists, muralists, designers, and creatives working in and connected to Hough.
The voices and memories of people who live, have lived in, and are shaped by the Hough neighborhood.
Business owners, makers, and builders who are part of the neighborhood's current and emerging story.
Teachers, mentors, and program leaders whose work connects the community to knowledge and possibility.
People who carry, study, and preserve the historical record of Hough — a neighborhood with a significant story.
Photographers, writers, musicians, poets, and anyone whose creative practice intersects with this place and its people.
